What is UPCET BTech?Uttar Pradesh Common Entrance Test BTech (UPCET) is an admission process held annually by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). Through this counselling process, the candidates are provided BTech admissions into the participating institutes of the state based on JEE Main scores. No entrance exam is conducted separately. Previously, the process was known as UPSEE.

Candidates will be able to access the counselling form of UPCET BTech 2022 online. To participate in the counselling process, the candidates will have to fill out and submit the UPCET BTech 2022 application form before the final date. During the form filling procedure, the candidates will have to register, pay the fee, verify their uploaded documents and fill in their choice of colleges and courses in the order of preference.
UPCET BTech 2022 Counselling Eligibility CriteriaTo be eligible for UPCET BTech counselling 2022, the candidates need to meet some eligibility criteria set by the authorities.
- Candidates should have passed the qualifying exam from any institution in UP or the parents should have the domicile of Uttar Pradesh.
- If the candidates have not passed the qualifying exam from an institution in UP, then they will be required to produce their parent's domicile certificate.
- There is no age limit.
- Candidates should have a valid JEE Main 2022 score.
AKTU will announce the seat allotment result of UPCET BTech 2022 counselling. Allotment of seats will be done based on merit, preferences and availability of seats. Candidates will have to log in using the required credentials to check the seat allotment result. After the allotment, the candidates will have to either freeze or float their seats and pay the seat acceptance fee. Confirmation of admission has to be done by visiting the allotted institute.
UPCET BTech 2022 CutoffAfter every round of counselling, the authorities will release the UPCET BTech cutoff 2022. The minimum marks that are required to be secured for higher chances of admission will be available through the cutoff of UPCET BTech 2022. Separate cutoffs will be released for different courses, categories and colleges. However, securing the cutoff will not guarantee admission as other factors will also be considered.
